Japan - 2022 Osaka Hakone Tokyo 12 Days Itinerary (Day 2 Osaka Nara)

Day 2 Osaka and Nara

Day 2 - we decided to take a trip down to Nara to visit these cute bowing deer of Nara 😍

We had our breakfast at Cafe&Bar DEUR

There isn't a lot of choices but it is convenience.

Since we have JR Pass, we take a JR route - JR Shin-Osaka -> JR Osaka -> JR Nara. It took around 1 hour to reach Nara.

As we reached JR Nara, we planned to walk to Nara Park. Along the way, we make a stopped at Nakatanidou, a very yummy Japanese confectionery shop.

This is along the JR Nara East exit.

We walked along 暗越奈良街道

And you won't miss this shop - 中谷堂 - as it is crowded with people.

It sells very yummy Japanese mochi.

And they have a performance too!! (I really worry about his hand.... 😅)

Walked past Ruins of Kofuku-ji Nandaimon (Grand South Gate)

And starts to see warning sign about deer... 😆

At the entrance of Nara park, you will start to see a lot of deer roaming around.

And of course, feed the bowing deer 😁

And we walked around the park.

And walked up to Tōdai-ji

After half a day at Nara, we took 1 hour JR to JR Osakajokoen Station to visit Osaka Castle.

By the time we reach the castle, it was around 1730 and it is already all dark.

Before we set off to the next destination, we has some nice crepe around JR Osakajokoen Station (JO-TERRACE OSAKA)

Of course, if you are at Osaka, you will need to visit Dotonbori

And have a picture with Glica

And finally, we had our dinner at Dotombori Kaisen-izakaya Kaisenmonogatari Namba honten  (because Kani Doraku is fully booked 😓)

But the food are fresh but a bit expensive - around S$120

Let's end this post with some amateur ASMR 😂
