Day 3: Exploring Noboribetsu and Lake Toya

Day 3 in Hokkaido's Noboribetsu and Lake Toya unfolded as a captivating journey, revealing the natural wonders and unexpected delights of these enchanting landscapes.

Our exploration began amidst the geothermal wonders of Jigokudani, where the earth's raw power manifested in spectacular displays, leaving us awe-struck by the rugged beauty of this volcanic landscape. Strolling along scenic trails, we found ourselves at Oyunuma Pond, a tranquil oasis amidst nature's grandeur, offering a serene respite.

The unique hot springs at River Oyunuma Natural Footbath provided a therapeutic interlude, allowing us to soak in the healing waters and savor a moment of relaxation.

Lunchtime beckoned us to Pizzeria Astra in Noboribetsu, where sumptuous pizzas satisfied our appetites, preparing us for the next leg of our journey.

Driving down to Lake Toya, we checked into the idyllic Toya Sun Palace Resort & Spa, immersing ourselves in the Lake Toya experience—a haven of relaxation amidst stunning surroundings.

As night fell, the skies above Lake Toyako illuminated with mesmerizing fireworks, casting a magical glow over the waters, and revealing the unexpected twists and turns that added a touch of spontaneity to our adventure.
